Filing post is basically keeping all your important mail sorted i.e. Bills, mortgage, etc. Pottering is basically doing nothing, or getting drunk is nearly the same. And number 3 is about private pension schemes from your employer or a private company. All Brits automatically pay into the basic state pension as soon as they work through our National Insurance Tax.

Cool thanks for the clear-ups, I'm not up on British terminology. 

I wasn't confused about #3 though, I'm just highly against government pensions. I think people should be able to opt out of it and do what they want with their money.
