Anyway, I'm pretty sure Nintendo found some way to keep the costs low. I could see it being at least 280$. (Afterall, the 3DS is and odd number for a Console price, it's 169.99$.)

I want all next gen consoles to be as expensive as possible, to allow as powerful hardware as possible.

If Wii U is $350 chances increase thhatf PS4 and X360 cost beyond $400.

Why? That would be the stupidest thing the companies could do. Making it that much would mean it would barely sell.

X360 launched at $400 and with inflation that could mean $450 in 2013. PS3 launched at $600 and still managed to be a viable platform in the long run.

My dream is that both X720 and PS4 will cost $500 at launch (I expect $400 for both though). That would mean very powerful hardware.

And perhaps even better, it would mean that the casual market was locked out.

Never going to happen.  There's simply to much money there. Money which the VG industry desperatly needs.
