well after this E3 I didn't see anything that suggest the wii U is much more powerful then the ps360, not even the zelda game that they showed last year or a tech demo to show the power, is it possible that adding that second game pad taxed the wii U more then we realize??

It wouldn't be that. Adding the second gamepad slows framerate only, and even then we're not sure if that just means framerate on the pad or framerate altogether, since its speculated to be a bandwidth problem.

It is odd that nothing so far looks to match the tech demos they showed last year, doubly odd because Nintendo tech demos are not known for overselling the hardware.

Pikmin 3 looks really good.

It looks very good but that's only due to the Dx 11 effects (water and surface effects) of a modern graphics card. At the same time you could clearly see that the demo of Pikmin was not demanding on hardware and overall could easily be run on a PS3 or X360 (without support for the DX11 water/surface effects like I said).
