Some might be old, but wii never got them old or new and Wii U is getting them... some new, some old.
ME3 and Batman might be old, but at least Batman has work put into it. ME3 might end up being worked as well. NG3 is also old, but from what i read it might be what fans expected fom the started and never got. Other games like AC3 might be old but just 2/3 weeks old.

And despite being old, they will reach to a new audience.

I wouldn't call WiiU's launch line up stellar because of the fact that they got a bunch of old games - instead of new ones. You could argue that WiiU will have THE best launch line up if you take into acount all the downloadable content, which include SMB1-3 and world, a bunch of Zeldas and Metroids and Donkey Kong. But no one is making that argument because they are old games, and old games don't matter at a new systems launch.

Don't get me wrong: I'm gonna get BT:AC for sure, but it's still sad that there's so many old games in that launch line up...

You are right, there are old games there, but there are more new games than just ports. Batman, NG 3 and ME 3 will be old, AC 3 and Tekken not so much, specially AC 3.
Still, you got to remember that mainly PS3 and Xbox 360 owners will own them. Wii owners only, won`t and future Wii U owners probably will hold on the purchase so they can build up their library for Wii U.

I don`t know the size of the market for them but i believe they can make a profit and probably help show that Wii U is a viable platform for these kind of games.
