@diomedes, Just because you don't like the data doesn't automatically means these numbers are way off. The data we did receive are more or less in line with the numbers that VG has. Take for instance: http://www.gwn.com/news/story.php/id/12495/Aussie_Wii_Sales_Top_80k.html That article puts PS3 at 36K compared to 80k for Wii and 160k for XBox 360. No exact date is given, but since the article is from May 2 I assume it will be around the end of April. At April 29 VGChartz has PS3 at 39k, Wii at 85K and XBox 360 at 166k, all pretty close to those numbers. http://www.heise.de/newsticker/meldung/89889 Putting PS3 at 70.5k, Wii at 222k and XBox 360 at 262k at the end of April. VGChartz for April 29 are 73k for PS3, 230k for Wii and 270k for XBox 360. Once again very close to those numbers. http://xbox-mag.net/ventes-de-consoles-en-france---nintendo-domine--microsoft-peine__13097.html No totals for consoles here, except for PS3 since that was released in March. So that puts PS3 at 81k at the end of March. VGChartz has PS3 at 84k at April 1. Once again very close to each other. Now for your claim on 800k sold. There is this article on Gamespot from April 17!!! So that is almost 1 month after launch, there Stinger says PS3 sold around 800k now. So after the first release days it sold around 600k, then it took another 3 weeks to get to around 800k. Then selling another 110k in the five weeks after that doesn't even sound that unlikely. http://www.gamespot.com/news/6169204.html?om_act=convert&om_clk=newstop&tag=newstop;title;8
