Also, Uncharted is one of the biggest games out there, UC2 will pass 6m this year. |
yes sony has more ip's (if you don't count arcade or kinect which i see as fault (at least some arcade)) but with 70 million people owning the console but only 1-2 million purchasing many games it seems like even sony fans are only really interested in gt, uncharted, gow and maybe something else.
see, many sony fans are like "we have all the great games" but i wonder why they don't buy them if they think they are so great. same with me, i could play so many sony ip's but at the end i don't play more sony as microsoft ip's. because like most others, i just don't care about resistance as example.
count all the small ip's together and you still don't have on average one game for every playstation owner.
i dont know but i would say 80-85% of sold games are multi-plat games. so we only speak about the 15-20% rest and there, one has maybe an advantage against the other but is this really important for most gamers? no it isn't.
every year i get more games i wish to play than i ever could. so even if a console would not only have one own ip i could still not play all games i want to. the difference is that i can pick a little bit better ones on average but that average doesn't increase a lot.
