Look at how the U Pad is for the system. It looks like Nintendo also changed that to be more compatible with what third-party is up for. I would also speculate that the Pro are used instead of the normal controllers. Would need to find word if the U will support 4 of the Pro controllers and 2 tablets. This would make for 6 player gaming local, with the two pad controllers having their own screen.
The WiiU may also bring back LAN gaming if you could link up several Wii U systems together, which would be very interesting if that is so.
I also imagine that the Wii regular controller and nunchuck will likewise be supportted for fans of that controls in a game.
