Well, for certain action segments of FPS' it's kind of better because you can straff and move more ergonomically, all the while holding the triggers. It might be better in that case.
But for cases where you have to use action buttons and strafe and move for example, the stick could come in the way of the buttons I'm thinking, but it's all in my mind you know.
