Pales in comparison to the DS? Perhaps. We're reaching the point (launch aligned) where DS's really mammoth titles began appearing, but NSMB2 will be a decent counter for NSMB, and 3DS still outperformed DS in at least the first year, launch-aligned.
launching the console with a 2D Mario is proof that even if Nintendo seems to have a rather inconsistent hardware strategy with the Wii U, their dev teams are at last thinking straight again
The coming year will be another rocky one, but it still seems like Nintendo is moving in the right direction.
