Yes teh whole Weblogs network seems to be referencing VGChartz. The amount has risen sharpely lately and I am excited about that.
I heard VGChartz mentioned on Infendo's podcast as well.
I am so sick of people quoting 3 month old US numbers(old NPD crap) as somehow a relevent total for a game. IGN is particularly bad about this. Sometimes they mention Japan but here is the only place I ever hear about Europe except when the companies themselves report.
The american numbers are often used to reinforce the misoconception that only the 360 sells games. As the other two systems start to gain some repect in the media then people will naturally attempt to searchout worldwide data, and this is the only place to get it.
Final* Word on Game Delays:
The game will not be any better or include more content then planned. Any commnets that say so are just PR hogwash to make you feel better for having to wait.
Delays are due to lack of proper resources, skill, or adequate planning by the developer.
Do be thankful that they have enough respect for you to delay the game and maintain its intended level of quality.
