not to mention he passed voter ID, and actually let people choose if they want to be in the union or not, they used to be forced in it.


He has done some good things for his state, for sure, but he is also incredibly polarizing.  I don't think any politician can be effective if he or she drives people to extremes of like/dislike.  Good politicians build bridges, they don't burn them down.  That being said, I'm glad he won.  The recall was a joke and should have never happened.  I don't agree with the taking away of collective bargaining for everything but pay (I am a school teacher,) but I fully support the option of opting out of the union.  Nobody should be forced to join an organization against their will.  

It actually amazed me how upset the unions got over what Scott Walker did.  I live in Utah and we have pretty much the same set up here as what he implemented, it isn't that big of a deal and that is coming from a teacher.
