The sticker system is going to remove the Flower Points entirely and most likely also the Badge Points which in turn reduces the RPG elements quite a bit. At least the "1" on the bottom screen suggests that there could be several pages of stickers at your disposal later on in the game, but I fear that this game will have severe balancing issues just like Super Paper Mario.

Or maybe the battle systems works more like Baten Kaitos, so you basically arrange a deck of stickers that replenishes once it's empty. This would add a welcome tactical note and could actually work well. Still though, why not expand the sticker system to Mario and a partner?

Assuming one is status and one is itens, there's two more:

maybe badges, map, partners... it's still up.

Can't find the screen for Super Paper Mario, but it contains Stats, Pixls and Items only
