I see the similarities in level design, too, although I'd say it's more reminiscent of Superstar than Dream Land. Especiallhy how right at the beginning Pit is just jumping down a bunch of platforms.
Another observation: Storywise, I'm thinking it will be kind of like Marvel Nemesis: Rise of the Imperfects (STORYWISE, PEOPLE, NOT GAMEPLAYWISE) in that all of the characters will get sucked into the conflict, but each will only be paired with one or two others, and there will never be a time when everybody is together.
Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?
