With a home console it's less of an issue than with a portable, you would just have to sit somewhere in your game room within cord's reach of an outlet, so long as the device allows play while plugged in (which Nintendo would be idiotic not to do).
Rechargeable batteries is the bigger thing here. I'll be able to reduce my herculean AA battery intake from this gen (though continued Wiimote use means it won't end)
