Most likely referring to 2011 as the 360 shipped more than both the ps3 and the wii, which makes the 360 the best "selling" console for the past year.
As to how many were actually sold all we have are estimates (vgc) which can be somewhat accurate or totally off. Going by the only solid data available the 360 is #1, which is why he can say the 360 is the best selling console WW.
