This was the only interesting new thing that was mentioned in Iwata's pre E3 stream. At least this takes care of one of my concerns about the Wii U. The Wii U controller looks interesting and all, but this will be nice for more traditional games as well as third party developers that don't want to waste a lot of time developing Wii U touch screen stuff (like they had to do with waggle controls on Wii games).

Just need info about their online system and, hopefully, some form of achievements/trophies for their games.
