DQX is not going to be a total fail. I absolutely despise what SE did with DQX, messing it up like they did with FF, MMORPG was not needed. It'll still sell well, however. (Might sell better on Wii U, too.)

I dont know.It just has a lot of things going against it..Plus are Mmo's even popular in japan. They seem to like more of local play rather than full blown out online.Plus how vastly can the wii U version be if they have to make it compatible with users on wii.Plus dq9 sold 5 million cause nintendo published it and marketed it huge in the west, will we see that for dq10.
I hope it succeeds cause I like dq,not as much as most people but I do like the traditional aspect of the games but I just dont see how this can be that much profitable for sqaure

MMO, I'm pretty sure, are liked more in Korea. Japan seems to like "Traditional" Games more.
DQX will sell, no question. (Do you not look at the Japanese Pre-Orders?)
It just won't do as well as others.

Nah,Korea just loves Starcraft lol.But it's more than just selling a lot of units when it comes to Mmo's.The customer has to continue to play for months and years in order for companies to make profit. We are already seeing that problem with bioware where a lot of customers dont come back.Given how traditional dq are,I dont see the incentives most people will have in order for a higher replay value.I just dont see how traditional mmo's aspect will keep players hooked,quest,items,weapons...it will need something completly unique for a high replay value in order for square to make a profit
