150 hours the month watching tv on average? wtf? ok most people work, let's say from 8am to 5-6pm (in germany), they have to drive to work and back which eats some time as well. so the average person comes home and watches tv the rest of the day and goes to bed then (with a bit fucking before sleeping)? yes i know there are people not working anymore, jobless and kids but still, this is insane.

Well you don't have to be active watching it :).   It happens a lot that i come home turn on my tv and don't do it out until I go to bed.

I have a lot of friends who don't really *watch* TV, but will always have it on for "background noise."

Also there's some overlap in those numbers as I know quite a few people who watch Netflix via their 360s.  That 84 hours on the console may not be 84 hours of game playing.

Ofcourse its not all gaming, Microsoft said it themselves that people now use the Xbox more as an online entertainment device rather than just a online gaming device. Although this would meen that MS should be recieving quite a good amount of money from ads since unlike TV you are more inclined to stay tuned to your dowloaded or streamed movie.
