I'm one of those weird people who thinks that the movies got progressively worse starting with the third one. The first two were decent, but child actors... eh. The third one, I hated all the stupid changes they made from the first two to the third one that served no purpose whatsoever. Also, I detest Michael Gambon as Dumbledore. That's actually probably the single biggest reason why I don't like any of the later movies as much.
The fourth and fifth ones I tolerated mainly for the still decent soundtracks (though not on the level of the first three), and the sorta fun action.
I have very little good to say about the last three movies. The soundtracks are bland and uninspiring, the movies were dull, and I will never be able to get past the stupid slow music being played during the final battle in the last movie. It made me want to fall asleep. Also, Harry and Hermione dancing was retarded and pissed me off.
Am I a bitter fan who was angry at the movies not being more like the books? Sorta. The movies weren't too terrible as far as adapting the books go. There were plenty of changes, but a lot of them made at least some sense. Some changes did bother me, I'll admit. But the real reason why I'm so harsh on them is because they had the potential to be great, and I left the theater disappointed each time. Still, they got my money because I foolishly held hope to the very end that the next movie would be great.
