Nope.
A game should not be shipped or 'Gold' until its fully ready. Patches and day 1 DLC is just stupid and a bad practice.
DLC should be purely extra content that is intended to provide longer value to playing the game for incremental costs. Not something they originally wanted in game and to meet a street date pushed off and decided to sell later for more.
Patches shouldn't exist except for bugs simply not realized at all. See Nintendo for how to do this one.
