Oh boy, not the "Wii 3rd party games are crap by default" and "people only buy Nintendo consoles for Nintendo games" arguments again. It's understandable for someone who doesn't know where to get accurate sales data, but a member of these forums sprouting that rubbish is inexcusable.
Virtually all of the problems third party games on the Wii are facing arise from the fact that very few people (like John Lucas) had any idea of just how big the Wii was going to be. It takes time to make a good game, and back when the games being released now started development, very few publishers were taking the Wii seriously. Sooner or later they realised what a mistake they had done, and games of all types and qualities started work on the Wii. Is anybody surprised that the bad games were quicker to make, and thus got released first?
The good games that have been released are selling as well as, or better than games on other platforms, and a great many of the upcoming titles look very promising.
