Ha, none of the above that's for sure. Even Nintendo with the cobined profits of the Wii and DS would still be in the first poll option (in fact I think Nintendo's combined profits since the NES are probably still in the first option, though it could be close to entering the next)
Yeah the revenue at retail figure will be every $ spent by people buying the console/games and accessories etc.
You have to take away the portion of that money that went to 3rd parties for their games, then all the money MS spends making and marketing the console, as well as R&D developing it (and Kinect) to get to what the profits are.
There is some info in MS financial reports that has been used to estimate the profits, and I think by now they may be starting to break even with it, at most it will still be short of $1 billion profit (though it is at least growing now), though it's hard to say as the division of MS the Xbox is in includes other products.
