Considering the RROD fiasco. Its well on the range of my own prediction.

it does not say that. All it says is that at retail (meaning sold in a store not dlc or through ms directly) they have made 56b in sales of probably anything xbox related.

 

Edit: I wonder what percentage of live gold subscribers pay ms directly and what percent buy cards online or in stores. Now all we need is some DLC info.
