I think I'm level 35 or thereabouts.
If you make a good pawn you should be able to get plenty of rift crystals without having to give Capcom any money. My dude generally brings in about 30k or better in rift crystals every time I stay at an inn. I seem to get a lot of rift fragments drops, too. They're only worth 100 each, but it adds up, and I haven't really been spending them anyway.
