Despite the interest from the gaming media and enthusiasts E3 is not the be all and end all. All companies have had weak performances and lived to tell the tale.
The pressure is on Nintendo to inspire people to want to have a WiiU and E3 is a critical start to that. But if memory serves, most analysts and gamers were still expecting Nintendo to go out of business even after Wii's full reveal at E3 2006.
