Geoff Keighley says Unreal Engine 4 wont run on Wii U

That is what Nintendo needed to get third party support, you know that MS and Sony will do everything to run the next Unreal engine.

But was kind of expected that Nintendo will not be really next gen =p.  They are just finally adapting to X360 and PS3.
