I really don't care. The sooner devs stop making a game and then putting it in a stupidly expensive, bland engine which cuts off variety and inginutiy, the better.

We need more Rayman Origins and less generic shooter #275

It's not the engine's fault devs use it to make generic shooters, there are plenty of inovative/colorful/genrally great/unique games built using UE3, games like Mirrors Edge, Dance Central, Dungeon Defenders, Asura's Wrath, American McGee's Grimm, Batman: Arkham, BioShock Infinite, Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, Blade & Soul, Crimson Dragon, Enslaved, Fairytale Fights, Mortal Kombat, The Last Remnant, XCOM: Enemy Unknown, Hawken etc etc. It's not just an engine for generic shooters, it's the most robust and scalable licenced engine arround and UE4 seems to improve over 3 in many many ways.

UE has nothing to do with the lack of games like Rayman Origins, your blind hate is totally missplaced.

Also expensive compaired to what? it's arround the same price as Cryengine 3 for full source code from most reports. Plus the UDK is free for indies to use as long as you give a cut of profits to Epic you can't really get cheaper than free...
