A guy with a purple tentacle profile pic should know better than most other people that the name of the game developer he adores is Ron, not Dan Gilbert. And I agree with NobleTeam360 on this one: Meh. Reason: This looks just like another one of those dozens of downlodable sidescrolling platformers we got and will get this gen. I don't say that this game will be bad (how could I), but imo this genre is almost as packed as FPS this gen (and almost as overrated imo, but I'm probably pretty alone with this opinion). Castle Crashers, Battle Block Theater, Outland, Super Meat Boy, Scarygirl, Braid, Limbo, Trine, Trine 2, 'Splosion Man, Ms. 'Splosion Man, Rayman Origins, Sonic 4, Fez, N+, Bionic Commando Rearmed...just to name some of the best known of released and upcoming DL platformers. Ron Gilbert never created a bad game imo, but not everything he's been working on is as special as some fans and critics claim (e.g. DeathSpank). The Cave is definitely not the game Gilbert/Schafer fans like me are waiting for. That's the upcoming, untitled, fan-founded (US$ 3.3 million from 87.000 people), hopefully Scumm(TM)-tastic point&click adventure game. |
Thats is true..this genre is packed as it is.
but at least they trying to mix it up a bit and maybe do something new.
