IF Nintendo does not impress at E3 this year will Nintendo fail in the West? Change of opinion now?

Really?  Sony's not in trouble right now... but Nintendo is?  Clearly you need to do some research on this subject.  Believe me, Sony is in no position to buy Nintendo.  And regarding Nintendo's "backstabbing" of Sony in the SNES era:  While I certainly don't think that Nintendo went about it in the right way, don't think that it was completely unjustified given the circumstances.  It took two to tango in that situation. 

The rest of your post is just you going in circles with the same disparaging remarks toward Nintendo, so my last post still stands as a suitable response.  The only part that puzzles me is whether you just believe that all core gamers think this way or if you yourself are conflicted and fall into this minority group of Nintendo haters that feel nothing but disdain toward the company.  Given that you seem to own a 3DS, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume the former, but in any case, what you describe is not an accurate representation of core gamers... even if they're not particularly big Nintendo fans.  The only people who think this way are the true Nintendo haters, and to those few I say good riddance.  Nintendo certainly doesn't need their support to be hugely successful.

The gaming media won't let Sony fall! Sites like IGN just love them to much to let them fail. Plus the core gamer loves the PS brand. The PS brand is profitable and their recent troubles have been from their other divisions not their gaming divisions.

I don't hate Nintendo at all. The only current gen systems I own are a Wii and 3DS ( I used to own a 360 but I gave it to my brother ) I have no ill will towards Nintendo.In fact I used to be a giant Nintendo Fanboy ( During the PS 1-2 era I didn't own any of those systems and never even wanted to play them, I blindly stuck by Nintendo like a tool. )

Sadly I'm not anywhere as optomisstic as you. I have no faith in the core gamer at all. I don't think they like Nintendo at all and I believe that their disdain for them is massive. I predict that the Wii-U will suffer the same fate as the Wii. As successful system that is hated, mocked, and ridiculed by the core gamer. They will only buy the next Xbox and PS systems.
