I dig this series. To the guy (sperrico87 ) that said this wasn't a "real game", I'll have to disagree. Your score is your bank account balance. The goals are to expand your house (speaking of the DS version). With my DS, this was a game that I kept coming back to for years. More than any other game with the exception of MarioKartDS. Yes, it doesn't have a standard "end" like the typical game, so it is definitely a non-typical game, but it can lead to many hours of entertainment. I'll pick this one up.

Usually the end for me is when I get almost all the sets of furniture, almost catch all the bugs and fish, max out the house, attend all the events, collect almost all the K.K. songs, etc.  I have actually never fully collected 100% in any category but when I get to a point where I almost have everything is usually when I stop playing.

Speaking of the DS version did you go to Toys R Us and get all those Nintendo items back in the day?  I went to their store a few times to get all those Nintendo items.  Luckily, for the Wii version you didn't have to go anywhere to get the Nintendo items but the DS Nintendo items made decent marketing technique for Nintendo + Toys R Us.
