And if MAG did well, there would be a sequel and there won't be one. Warhawk did okay, nothing more. Starhawk as a sequel did not even crossed 100k in the US after two weeks. If this is your standard for successful and huge franchises it just shows how the Playstation brand went downhill with the PS3. |
1) I haven't said sqwat about Starhawk but you seem to really want to keep bringing that up. It's not doing good at all. Feel better now?
2) I haven't said that MAG and Warhawk are huge franchises. You seem to think that by disagreeing with you, i'm agreeing with Leo-J. I don't. To say "MAG flopped. Period." is bull.
3) Sequals for the sake of sequals are the only indicator for a game to be considered a success? It's an online only game that got good support after launch. There's your follow up. Warhawk's sales were fine, it had a great community. DLC did fine.
4) My main point was that your first post suggested that MAG put Zipper out of business. It didn't. SOCOM 4. It was once SONY's biggest online franchise. It survived Confrontation which everyone thought was horrible but the franchise's fans still made it the most played online game on PSN (CoD can suck it). When that went to shit is when Zipper got into big trouble. MAG did fine. I myself was an active part of the community for a really long time. I've seen a lot of those guys do some really amazing things in the game world when it comes to huge scale community activity over the course of days. If you wanna believe it was a flop, go ahead. I'm not addressing this anymore.
5) I'm done with this.
4 ≈ One
