Oh yeah? So you wouldn't mind if a bunch of nazis started marching the streets and express their 'opinions'?

Just listen to yourself.

In America, they are allowed to.

In fact, we had a neo-nazi march a few years back in my local town.

Do you know what happened? 3 skinheads showed up. About 100 others showed up with signs that derided the Neo-Nazis. Clearly their freedom of speech did more to invoke words against their behavior than for it.

Interesting.

Do you want to know what happened in Germany 70 years ago when thousands of Nazis started doing the same thing?

You can't stop people from having ignorant opinions. But you can stop them from spreading them.

Yes, and?

I could say the same thing about the jailing of Nelson Mandela, Aung San Suu Kyi, and thousands of other dissenters that were jailed for their "hate" speech too.

Additionally, if you looked through the totality of speech and dissenting opinions, free speech has done more to calm hateful and bigoted opitions than opression has. Opression makes specific viewpoints taboo, and incite people to learn more about them. Then a stupid or useless viewpoint becomes more popular and pronounced than if it was simply discussed in the open.

That is, of course, unless your in a communist or dictatorship. Then in those cases, they probably do a good job of preventing such speech - through murder and jailing. Is that the kind of nation you want?

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
