That split for Burnout being so close even though 360 has a higher install base is VERY telling of something IMO.
It used to be a joke that the PS3 could gain on the 360 in hardware or software, but I have been watching the EU regions. And while the Wii is just running away with the race it seems that the fight for #2 is getting interesting. Burnout did VERY well in relation to the 360 version. Its odd to see these things happening. Would be bad for MS is Sony starts selling more software in EU than they do, especially when we know Wii sold more software than 360 in December also despite a userbase disadvantage.
MS needs to reignite things quickly. That whole "We have the highest attach rate!" is going to be jack all if Wii moves more hardware and software in the US and PS3 surpasses them in EU in soft and hardware and they get thwumped in Japan as well. That would leave the 360 in the same spot as the Xbox. Losing.
