I've had shit experience with Facebook ads going to a website. The clickthrough is abominable and therefore, a bad value.
Where Facebook shines is getting people to click on to your FB page and getting a like. Then the customer is locked into your continued advertising until they unlike the page (which doesn't really happen very often).
