| superchunk said: Thank you mr. RocketPig for bringing the light. Your points are spot on. Not being a comic book fan myself.... it doesn't matter. This is one of the very few superhero movies that clearly makes you feel like the characters are real. They are actual people who make sense based on what you are told about their abilities. The last superman movie broke that massively with Superman. The last two Hulk movies just were never quite right, but here he is just about perfect. Though I do agree there could have been better evidence for his more controlled state. The lesser characters without real powers were still characters and made real contributions where they were clearly out classed. Furthermore.... the scripting was pure gold. It just was, there is no denying that unless you're a brick. |
I just chalked up Banner's improved control over the Hulk as a side effect of his embracing the beast within. All in all, I don't think it really matters. Not everything needs to be explained, especially in a movie like The Avengers. None of the plot holes were big enough to get in the way of enjoying the film.
