The level of enjoyment I had watching The Avengers movie was like combining my experiences with the individual prequels. The 'Ooohs' and 'Aaaahs', the 'Wows' and the 'Whoas', and all that laughter. Overall it beats any other superhero flicks I've seen.
But to compare it with Dark Knight? It's hard for me. I felt the Dark Knight isn't meant for "simple enjoyment". I definitely didn't LOL watching the movie, In fact I felt really terrible inside towards the end due to its tragic nature but It was an awesome experience nonetheless. It was a work of art.
