How so? I still buy all Nintendo games new and most of the time on release date, I just buy preowned games for my PS3 and sometimes for my 360, so I dont see how Nintendo will be affected by my decision.

Unless all you do is buy first-party games for the PS3 and 360, then you're restricting the flow of money to third parties, who also release games on Nintendo systems. Generally speaking, the more money being spent on products in an industry the more investment goes in.

Buy buying only pre-owned you're really just directing your money into supporting the retail industry, rather than developers.

That's not to say people shouldn't buy pre-owned, hell games can be much cheaper and accessible at pre-owned prices.
