Story was very entertaining.
CGI was flawless.
Script was funny and very well done.
Action was crazy good.
Only The Dark Knight comes close and while its story is superb as well as the Joker's character was unmatched, however its action is not as good and the solid comedic lines in Avengers is pure gold.
Best $45 I've spent on my family all year so far.
