well, five monhts from december is the end of march. I think438000 were the sales at march 31. If you look at march 31 numbers on vgchartz for uk you have 453000, so a very good extimation

May 8th is not "the end of march" !! maybe you can say that April 8th is something like "end of march" but not May 8th...
