Nintendo won't release a 3DS redesign anytime soon.
- New 3DS colors are being released
- Sales are great, there's no need for a redesign
- They can't include a second analog stick. There is no space for it. Placing it under the ABXY buttons would not be ergonomic
A redesign would include better screens, no screen scratch issue, lighter console, better battery life, better cameras. Certainly not a 2nd stick. Devs would make games that REQUIRE a second stick. That would force 17M 3DS users to buy a CPP. I'm sure they will pack the CPP with the new 3DS redesign.
