If Microsoft have no significant games for E3, then they've already lost it. Extra services, almost all certainly tied to a Gold account so they can 'monetize' us, are about as attractive to me as a Ballmer forcing a 360 down my throat, that manic expression of his leering down at me as he squeezes it in. I need new games, Microsoft. Justify my ownership of your console, please.

No. Microsoft knows they don't need to impress gamers to win. In order to win own the casual home. Their plan was always to take over the gamers home with multimedia ever since they saw Sony do it. The difference between Sony and Microsoft is Sony gives a damn about gaming and are actually good at it. Microsoft couldn't fool the Japanese into caring about them, but Americans..thats a different story.

japanese just don't buy foreign products if they can buy the same quaility from a japanese company, that's it...the whole japanese car market is 95% japanese cars, don't tell me the other companies of the whole world don't build good cars. and if they would have a big shoe company like nike or adidas, they wouldn't buy adidas and nike anymore.
there are a few exceptions, but only a few...

Theres no reason for the Japanese to buy outsider things if they are copies or too similar to their own. Show them something they dont have and they'll buy it. It keeps their economy pumping. Giving money to the Japanese doesn't help the American or European cause outside of taxing.

aha, so they don't buy it if it's too similiar to their own product? didn't i say exactly the same? they don't buy foreign products if they have something similiar from japanese companies. thx for reposting my post.
but still, they wouldn't buy as much xbox consoles as playstations with the same exclusives (llike this game from few months ago)

The original Xbox had mostly PC exclusives, which I am sure most of them already had and the PS2 covered the exclusives on the console end. The PS3 has most of the games the 360 has, and PC covers the majority of PC's exclusives. Why should the Japanese buy the 360 again? The 360 was launched a year ahead of schedule to gather most of the offerings the PS3 was already scheduled to have before them and make deals with third parties. The Japanese also did themselves a favor dodging the bullet of the large failure rate of 360's. It had to be 60% at the highest worldwide which is horrible. The lowest Microsoft admitted to was 40% then it grew to 50% and more.
