Firstly, there is a huge difference between 2D and 3D gameplay. It's not just a visual effect. Franky, your suggestion that it was just a visual effect is incredibly stupid.

Secondly, neither have you. The only precedence we have points to movies being not successful on gaming handhelds.

Thirdly, I see where this is going. You had to cut off the list, because there was a big amount of games following that didn't use or didn't need the touch screen. Go on, extend the list. I am not worried at all. Gimmicks are less important than games.

Firstly, it is entirely possible to create gameplay that is enhanced by any visual feature. That is the point I'm making. It's very simple and quite true.

Secondly, of course I don't, which was exactly my point, nobody does, so we probably shouldn't just dismiss the idea out of hand based on absolutely nothing.

I have no problem extending the list. Let's go, it'll only reiforce my point. Let's take the top twenty DS titles for example.

1. New Super Mario Bros. -  28.23m - Doesn't use touch screen

2. Nintendogs -  24.38m - Heavily uses touch screen

3. Mario Kart DS - 21.85m - Doesn't use touch screen

4. Brain Training - 19.95m - Heavily uses touch screen

5. Pokemon Diamond/Pearl - 17.98m - Doesn't use touch screen

6. Brain Age 2 - 15.20m - Heavily uses touch screen

7. Pokemon Black/White - 13.94 - Doesn't use touch screen

8. Animal Crossing: Wild World - 11.75m - Heavily uses touch screen

9. Pokemon Heart Gold/Soul Silver - 11.28m - Doesn't use touch screen

10. Super Mario 64 DS - 9.60m - Doesn't use touch screen

11. Mario Party DS - 8.49m - Heavily uses touch screen

12. Pokemon Platinum - 7.46m - Doesn't use touch screen

13. Big Brain Academy - 6.53m - Heavily uses touch screen

14. Dragon Quest IX - 5.61m - Doesn't use touch screen

15. Cooking Mama - 5.32m = Heavily uses touch screen

16. Professor Layton and the Curious Village - 4.99m - Heavily uses touch screen

17. Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games - 4.97m - Heavily uses touch screen

18. The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass - 4.92m - Heavily uses touch screen

19. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon - 4.88m - I literally haven't a clue

20. Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga - 4.19m - Doesn't use touch screen

I think it's fair to say I've won this point.
