At their worst points, the Xbox 360 and PS3 were still selling a lot better than the PSP Vita. It's almos half a year old now and has yet to sell 2 million units.

Strange, I didn't see any Viats on store shelves over here almost half a year go

It doesn't change the fact that it officially got released 6 months ago though!
