^Look at Kowen's graph. The price cut didn't come until August, that's 8 months after the Japanese launch. Even then, the 3DS trended better than the Vita this far, without gamez.
I'm not saying the Vita shouldn't get a pricecut, it should, but I'm saying that Miyamoto, more respectful than I am true, wasn't wrong to mention the obvious, that the Vita is not compelling (nobody's buying it, go figure).
