It's basically gotten to the point where any game with the words Call of Duty attached to it will instantly be flamed by the gaming media, yet it won't deter sales at all. It's a fun and addicting series to play, nothing wrong with that.
Edit: Oh, and the best is that the people who complain about COD the most are also the same folks who claim BF3 is the best thing ever, when it's campaign (if you can actually call it that) was a half-assed blatant rip off of Black Op's, and it has a whopping THREE multiplayer modes, two of which (team death match and rush) suck massive balls and aren't even worth your time.

I love CoD and Battlefield. Obviously the campaigns in the BF games are laughable at best, but its multiplayer is the best in FPS history IMO, ESPECIALLY the rather new rush mode from the Bad Company series. Seriously how many multiplayer modes does a game really need ? Most people don't play more than maybe two anyway.

I enjoyed the campaign of the first Bad Company titles, as it reminded me some of MASH in its humor. I had so hoped they went that way. But then Bad Company 2 decided to go the Call of Duty route which made little sense for the characters in the original Bad Company and were entangled with mercenaries in the original.
