Welcome to 2002, Nintendo. Glad you could make it!

Sony and Microsoft aren't even offering full digital distribution on their home consoles now, much less 10 years ago. Nintendo is ahead of the game for once. When PS4 and 720 come out, we'll be welcoming Sony and Microsoft to 2012.

Sony already does this on Vita and its been on PC for a very long time.

Yeah, somebody already pointed that out.  The key words are "Home consoles".  The thing is, there's probably hundreds of retail games on the 360 ready for download right now and quite a few PS3 retail games that are available for download, too.  The 360 has more retail titles but the PS3 has actually had titles ready for download the same day they hit retail.  With the 360, the downloadable titles are available maybe six months later.  And, like you said, the Vita and PC already had this feature.  Not sure what the_dengle is going with, here.

Of course, I personally would only download titles for a portable system so I wouldn't have to lug them around with me.  That's why I have so many titles saved to my Vita, PSP, and 3DS.  I'd never use this feature on a home console unless the were PSN/SEN, XBLA, or VC/WW bite sized titles of 2GB or less.

I don't read threads past the first few posts
