I do love my Vita and don't think for a second that Sony should ditch it but they do need to have a stellar E3 annoucing loads of upcoming AAA games - snatch a Monster Hunter if possible from Capcom and make sure that Call of Duty for the Vita gets loads of focus for the US and EU gamers!

I very much doubt it.  I think Sony is feeling a lot of pressure especially with it's investors to drop the Vita having sold less than 2M units in the 5 months the system had been released!  One also has to wonder what else Sony could do in terms of games; since most of it's launch games oozed AAA caliber, first-party titles that ranged from Uncharted to Lumines to WipeOut.  Third party companies will not be willing to invest in software development that have little to no chance of return.  Sony should really just drop the system and concentrate it's efforts on the PS4 as Nintendo and Microsoft seem to have already focused on what their next generation strategy will be.
