The things he showed me made the Vita look like garbage by comparison.

I just don't think I would ever feel cool pulling out my Vita in public and playing a game whereas playing something on a smart phone or tablet wouldn't even raise an eye. The Vita will never be as popular as the 3DS. I don't have any idea what Sony is doing with the Vita and I have no idea what Sony could possibly do with the Vita. Call of Duty? Even if that game is coming, I just don't see it changing the Vita's current pattern.

Hence, my reasoning for Sony to dump the Vita like a pile of dog poop!!!  The Vita is wasteful drain on Sony's resources, esp during it's current time of crisis. PSV will never sell anywhere close to what the PSP did and it came almost a year too late on the market.  The 3DS will always have it's Nintendo fanbase, a cheap price for entry, innovative 3D screen and dare I say a market for children and young adults. (I still play my 3DS as I love the 3D feature which makes it cool compared to my DROID phone)  The same cannot be said of the Vita as it is trying to hard to both compete with the smart-devices out there which makes it look juvenile and weak!!!  On the 3DS front, the Vita came a year too late with a bloated price of entry and capabilities that are nearly matched by Nintendo's more stable system.  It's true the PSV is vastly superior to the 3DS in terms of graphical performance, but the 3DS itself is a capable graphical machine (nearly equivalent to the Wii) that can easily satisfy most dedicated handheld gamers.
