Exactly, the modern team already ruined ff then you want them to go back and keep messing up ff7 (remember advent children...)? Crisis core was ok but square please leave it as it is. Final Fantasy VII was a great game with a bad ending, then they tried to fix it and just damaged the image of the game, like a great guy said once when he ranked ff7 1st in his top of worst videogame endings ''isn't the game with the worst ending, however it's the only game with several bad endings written by the worst writers in the world, the fanboys.'' in my oppinion ff7 should be buried in his gold grave as he deserves and we (and i mean square) should move on and remember it as one of the greatest games i iever. I feel sorry that such a game has to be associated with such crap like advent children (and some other things from the ''compilation'').

I loved all the spin offs dirge of Cerberus was fun and interesting game, Crisis core made me like a character I thought I would never like, Zack. I mean after Crisis Core he's now ranked as one of my top FF characters which I never would of thought, not to mention the ending...oh god why :'(, how many people picked up there controller and restarted FFVII after that game. And advent Children was a good movie I've watched it several times and it really satisfied the little guy in me that wants to see a FFVII remake, really good action and was definetely a commercial success selling over 4 million, thats almost half the people that bought the FFVII game, thats huge.
Usually companies milk the shit out out a good game like FVII just like Square done but some how they done a really good job it instead of ruining the name. Every game they pump out that revolves around FFVII is gold.

Well i have a very different oppinion about advent children (DOC and Crisis Core are the only good things that have came out of the ''compilation'' project) and not because of what it is as a movie but because it's a complete fest of fanservice that revived dead characters with no other reason than please the fanboys, it's just... u_u -- My main point is, there was no need to do that to ff7, it should have ended when it had to end. I just lost all my faith in square since FFXII and they have gotten worse, i try to tell myself ''they will do it right next time'' for every single new game that comes out, but since i heard these words, deep inside me there's a voice who keeps repeating them, it's their problem what they want to do with their precious franchise.

Well were both entitles to our own opinion. I actually didn't mind FFXII for a game with such a shitty story, horrible characters it was extremely fun to play and addictive. I clocked over 160 hours into that game which I rarely do for FF games. But ya it was the start of the down spiral of Final Fantasy (or I should say X-2 was...).
