And the cycle comes round again. Tonight, Activision will lift off the veil of the next Call of Duty game from Treyarch. By the looks of it, we’re going to get a first look at Black Ops 2.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is set to be announced for the first time during the NBA Playoffs tonight in the US.
Activision hasn’t acknowledged this year’s game as a sequel yet, but recent stuff has indicatedTreyarch has been hard at work on a second installment.
Assets from the game’s website, set to go live at the time of the announce, have already been spotted online, showing the game’s box-art, logo and the release date of November 13 (thanks, Robotix).
A video last week from FPSRussia indicated the next CoD would be set in a futuristic timeline by at least 10-15 years. The original Black Ops took place within the 60s and 70s during the Vietnam War and the Cold War.
All will become official tonight US time or early tomorrow morning for UK or mainland Europe.
